Summer 2017

This client came to us in November 2016, requiring numerous window dressings throughout her home.  Having had a ‘Design and Inspire’ consultation with Cornish Interiors, she had a good idea of the style of curtains and blinds required, but had not seen any fabric that caught her eye.  After numerous meetings at the clients home and searching through a variety of fabric books, we made all the necessary decisions and began the process, delivering the dressings in stages as requested by the client.

Dining Room: The client needed sheers to dress her large garden window, to create some cosiness during the colder winter months.  Together we picked a gorgeous Baker Lifestyle fabric, which featured a lovely textured pattern.  We fitted a bay track, with a minimal profile to keep it discreet and dressed it with simple sheers…with a very effective finish!

Guest Bedrooms/Children’s Rooms:  Each bedroom had its own ‘personality’ to suit the clients children, who stayed in them when visiting.  We installed roman blinds into each room and delivered coordinating scatter cushions to complete the look.

Master Bedroom:  This was the final room to be finished, as the client had her bedroom completely re-renovated (works carried out by Studio One South West Ltd).  She wanted a calming scheme, which featured her favourite colour, blue – after looking through a number of books, we used another Baker Lifestyle collection to dress the windows in the main room and en-suite.  To match the finish of the bedroom doors, we fitted a lime-oak curtain pole on both windows.  After delivering the curtain poles and window dressings, the client decided to re-vamp her bed, by adding a new headboard and bed valance in matching fabric.  Following them, we also re-upholstered a lovely Victorian chair which the client inherited from her Mother – we used a neutral colour as the main fabric and recycled leftover headboard fabric on the buttons.  This was the final piece to the puzzle, completing the room with a very happy client.
